Dress Code

A clean, tidy, neat appearance is expected of pupils at all times.  Maintaining a high standard of dress while wearing the school Dress Code and Sports Uniform is part of the training we seek to give pupils here at school. We believe that the Dress Code enhances our children’s dignity and respect for themselves and others.

The Dress Code as specified below must be worn coming to and going home from school for children from Kinder A to Class 6

A proper fitting –

  • Kilt of their choice, plain or tartan, properly kilted, (elastic at the waist for KA & KB) worn below the knee.

  • White shirt with a collar, which should be always tucked in.

  • Coordinating woolen plain coloured cardigan / jumper.

  • Plain dark shoes, No canvas, sport shoes or casual boots may be worn in school.

  • Ankle/knee length socks or tights.

SPORTS UNIFORM

Children from Kinder A to Class 6 must wear the Teresian School tracksuit which is available from Uniformity; Website | 01 230 0501

Student Council

We believe in the importance of student voice. Our Student Council, composed of elected representatives from Class 1 - 6, plays a vital role in shaping school life. Council members attend regular meetings, organise activities, and listen to the ideas of their peers. Initiatives include fundraising events, cake sales, charity projects, and whole-school activities like non-uniform days.

Green School Committee

We have an active Green School committee in our Junior School. We pride ourselves on achieving four Green Flags to date, we are currently working towards our 5th Green Flag which looks at the theme of Biodiversity - from a Litter & Waste perspective.

Our Green School committee work to educate the whole school community on correct recycling and waste practices. The Green School committee provides updates and information at our weekly assemblies. The committee enjoy working in our outdoor classroom and helping the teachers with our garden beds. The Green School committee organise guest speakers and work hard to promote biodiversity through various practices, our most recent outdoor addition is a Dunemann box. We are excited to see it progress!

Parents’ Council

Parental involvement is promoted in The Teresian School. Parents are encouraged to become members of the parents’ council, volunteer as guest readers, help on school tours, sports day and special school celebrations.

The Junior School Parents’ Council is an active body of parent volunteers who work with the Junior School Principal to share information and promote school initiatives among the wider parent body.
