At this time of the year we usually have our Solidarity Week to raise awareness of global solidarity and social justice. We highlight Teresian projects in Peru, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and India.
This year, Covid-19 is devastating vulnerable groups and poor communities where the effects of the emergency are most felt. It is vital to enable vulnerable communities to cope with the pandemic. There are many urgent needs at our own local and national level, and at the same time we are aware of global needs. The Teresian Association is mobilising responses to the emergency in Bolivia, Guatemala and DRC through InterRed, the TA International NGO.
Our Secondary School girls are working alternative initiatives in lieu of the traditional Solidarity Week activities to show their solidarity when it is safe to do so.
The Junior School girls made a special appeal to Lynda back in September:
They have a number of fun activities happening this week to support their worthy cause!
