For this week’s Past Pupil Spotlight, we re-connected with Tracy Byrne, Class of ’87.
Tracy studied law in UCD after the Teresian School and then joined Bank of America where she worked in the trading room for a number of years, including time in London and San Francisco. However, today she runs her own personal training business, Burnzone, in Dublin.
Tracy spent nearly 9 years in the northeast of the US with her husband Ed and their 4 kids- Sam, Chrissie, Charlie and Lily. Some things haven’t changed since school days and she is still sports mad and loves watching her own kids these days playing hockey, rugby or doing gymnastics. Tracy keeps fit running her personal training classes, sea swimming and walking their golden lab, Amber, up the nearby hills in Rathmichael.
When asked about her memories of The Teresian School, Tracy replied, ‘I have so many fond memories of school, the great friends I made, the wonderfully caring teachers we had and the amazing headmistress we were so lucky to have in Suzanne. I remember the first match on the new all-weather pitch (tarmacadam!) which we all thought was fantastic after playing on grass. How things have changed. We had a wonderful trip to London in 6th Year which was a highlight too. All in all, I feel very lucky that I spent my secondary school days in the Teresian School.’
Thank you, Tracy!
