Within drama class students explore an array of skills with elements of singing and dancing from the Broadway hits to the music charts, in a welcoming and structured class. The aim of the programme is to build students confidence, understanding of performance and to develop their skills in the performing arts.

Áine Keegan is a fully qualified teacher and holds an Associate Diploma in Drama Teaching with the Leinster School of Music and Drama (LSMD) and is a member of the Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland Association. She studied Speech & Drama at ITW as a teenager before she received a scholarship to study Musical Theatre Performance in the prestigious Colin’s Performing Arts Academy in England. She was the first ever student to receive the Sheila Murphy Scholarship to study for an HDip in Drama in Education at Griffith College Dublin.

‘Áine Keegan is a most dedicated and organised teacher who works hard and spares no effort to achieve her goals. During her time here she organises Christmas plays for each Junior School Class, ensuring that each child has a part and that school productions are of a very high standard.  She also prepares the classes for the school Poetry feis and the LSMD examinations in Effective Communication and Public Speaking.’
