Our Teresian girls had a lovely morning at the Spanish Embassy this week. They were invited by the Spanish Ambassador to Ireland, Mr Ildefonso Castro and his family, to view the very special Joan Miró exhibition currently on loan to the Embassy.
The 5th Class girls as well as several secondary school art students were treated to an insightful explanation of the 3 paintings and 2 sculptures by Carlos Lucini, whose daughter Maria is in 5th class. They also heard an engaging telling of the story of the Spanish Armada in Sligo by Mr Castro and even got to sample some Spanish tortilla.
Many thanks to Mr Castro and his family for inviting us!
