On Thursday 21st March we arrived in the fascinating city of Bilbao to take part in the EDIT Games, a sports gathering of all the Teresian Schools in Spain. We were welcomed by the hosting school, Colegio Ikasbide and we attended the opening ceremony where we saw traditional Basque dances and met the mascot, Carolina, named after the traditional Bilbao cake.
Over the next three days we participated in different types of sports, from team games, traditional games and athletics. We kept the school’s name high this year once again by winning the athletics competition (Abby Kennedy, high and long jump) and relay (Zoie Ritchie, Laura Nolan, Rachel Woods and Carola di Giansante).
We had also the chance to explore the beautiful city centre of Bilbao and take a boat trip up the coast.
We said goodbye to the many new friends we made (and we are now in touch with!) on the famous disco night. It was a once-in-a life opportunity and we thoroughly enjoyed the incredible beauty of Bilbao and feeling part of the amazing Teresian family.
We wish to thank Lorena, Deirdre and Des for accompanying us on this unforgettable adventure!
