This year our PE teachers had to be a bit more creative for Active School Week than in previous years, well, for obvious reasons.
And did they ever deliver! Sandra Pye and Vivienne Naughton somehow managed to get the whole school dancing, walking, running … and throwing toilet paper – separately, but 100% together.
JUST DANCE
Through Zoom (what would we do without it?!?), our girls got moving to Just Dance over a number of sessions in the week. What better way to be active? The result was brilliant.
WHOLE SCHOOL QUIZ
We hosted a Kahoot quiz for all students to participate, all on the topic of sports and activities. Our girls really know their sport!
The results from the ASW Kahoot! Quiz:
5th Place – Siobhan O’Riordan – 6th Year – 17512pts
4th Place – Flynn Carter – 3rd Year – 17696pts
3rd Place – Dorothy Miller-Carney – 3rd Year – 18158pts
2nd Place – Ella McGrath – 6th Year – 19340pts
1st Place – The Holmes’ – 1st & 6th Year – 23057pts
We had 64 devices logged into Kahoot! Some of them doubled and tripled up with siblings. Well done to everyone who took part, and congratulations to our top placers!
KERRY CAMINO CHALLENGE
The whole school was challenged to walk or run the distance of the Teresian School to Killarney, and take in some of the sights along the way (all within a 2km radius!)
