Active school flag
Our Junior School raised its Active School Flag for the first time on Thursday. This is the result of two years of hard work put in by our ASF co-ordinators, Orla, Catherine, Gary and Aled.
A few words from Orla, our Kinder A teacher:
What a daunting project to take on back in 2017! Little did Catherine, Gary, Aled or I realise the task ahead of us!
ASF is a non competitive initiative which seeks to recognise schools that strive to achieve a physically active and physically educated school community.
When a school community puts collective minds together- big things can be achieved.
Today was a celebration of these two years! We were delighted when Nora Stapleton, a renowned international rugby player, came to present the school with our Active School Flag! She made an inspiring speech encouraging our girls to take part in everything and most importantly, have fun!
This flag will fly with pride!
Congratulations and a big thank you to all those who supported this project over the last two years! You did it!
