Welcome to the website of the Teresian Junior School. It is a lay, Catholic and fee-charging school. We are currently celebrating 50 years of warmth, caring and high achievement since the school was founded by the Teresian Association in 1965.
We follow the educational philosophy of St Pedro Poveda, rooted in the Christian vision which puts Christ at the centre, while also welcoming pupils of all faiths. We particularly emphasise a family- like atmosphere of joy and love, where the uniqueness of each pupil is cherished and her/his capacities are developed to the full. We encourage a spirit of solidarity in our pupils through events during the year, leading them to care for others and to aim towards building a better world.
We follow the National Curriculum for primary schools in an environment of high quality teaching and learning, in close partnership with parents and guardians. The holistic growth of our pupils is further enhanced through sport, drama, music and a variety of extra-curricular activities. Our aim is to produce confident, creative and thinking pupils who will be ready to make a positive contribution to society.
We welcome all enquiries (01 2691376) and are happy to arrange a visit to the school.
