The Pre-School Day

All children should wear an overall (pink or blue) in school to keep their clothes clean.

8.00 Children received and supervised
9.15 Class begins – Individual work which includes practical life and sensorial exercises especially designed to encourage co-ordination, concentration and independence.  As children mature they are introduced to various graded exercises to develop language and number concepts.  Small circle for pre-reading and number work and are individually introduced to various preparatory exercises
10.30 Play
11.00 Break
11.15 General Circle with news, general lessons, stories, songs, poems, music and movement/gym, nature, art/craft etc.This may vary at Christmas, Easter as more art and craft work is done.
12.00 Preparation for lunch or departure
12.45 Group Work
1.15 Play/Bed-time
1.45 Activities such as art & craft, cookery, music, singing and more
3.00 2-4 year olds: stories, dance, music
3.45 Break
4.00 Supervised activities and play
6.00 Home Time

Additional Information:

A hot snack is served for those who stay until 3.00 or after
